Jeff will be playing the lead supporting role of “Ted Dunkirk” in our film, as well as serving as a producer under the Steppenwolf Films banner. Jeff currently plays the role of Cyrus Beene on ABC’s Scandal. Jeff is also a teacher and co-founder of Steppenwolf Films, The School at Steppenwolf, Steppenwolf Classes West and the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where he has served as Artistic Director.

Jeff has acted and directed in more than forty Steppenwolf productions. His directing credits at Steppenwolf include The Hothouse, Little Egypt, A Moon for the Misbegotten, Educating Rita, (also at NY’s West Side Arts Theatre) and The Homecoming. Acting credits at Steppenwolf include Balm in Gilead, The Time of Your Life, Picasso at Lapin Agile, the 1990 Tony award-winning The Grapes of Wrath, and the 2008 Pulitzer prize winning August: Osage County, for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play. In 2012, Perry was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actor for his work in the Off-Broadway hit, Tribes.

Jeff has appeared in several films, including; Remember My Name, A Wedding, The Grifters, Storyville, and Wild Things. His numerous television credits include his roles as Inspector Harvey Leek on Nash Bridges, Meredith Grey’s estranged father, Thatcher Grey, on Grey’s Anatomy and recurring appearances on My So Called Life, Chicago Hope, and Prison Break.

His guest star appearances include; Lost, West Wing, The Practice, Fringe, and CSI.
